A label jump to D starts with an up-to-date, official NTA 8800 assessment, so you know exactly where your home currently stands rather than relying on an outdated or simplified label. You then specifically choose the measures that deliver the biggest label step per euro invested, often insulating the building envelope and glazing before expensive installation technology. A tailored advice report makes the sequence and expected outcome clear before you spend any money.

Start with a reliable baseline measurement
Many labels in circulation are based on a simplified assessment without a physical visit, or are outdated. For the upcoming regulation, it is wise to work with an energy label that has been measured according to NTA 8800 and registered in EP-online, so you have a reliable starting point for the measures to be taken.
A tailored advice report maps out which combination of insulation, glazing and installations is needed to reach at least label D, or to get below the alternative limit of 290 kWh/m²/year of primary fossil energy use under the draft decree.
Prioritise measures by return
For homes with a poor building envelope, cavity wall, roof and floor insulation usually deliver the biggest label gain per euro, followed by insulating glass. Only after that should heating installations be considered, because they are relatively expensive compared to the label step they deliver in a still poorly insulated envelope.
Combine multiple measures within the same project period where possible: this is not only more efficient to carry out, but under the ISDE and SVOH, combining measures also leads to higher subsidy amounts per square metre.
- Step 1: an official NTA 8800 assessment and tailored advice.
- Step 2: insulation of the envelope, roof, floor and glazing.
- Step 3: installation technology (ventilation, heat pump) if needed to reach label D.
- Step 4: new label registration and recalculation of the WWS points.
