The valuations

Under the verified 2026 WWS rules: shower 4 points, bath 6, bath/shower combination 7, floor-standing toilet 3 (separate) or 2 (in bathroom), wall-hung toilet 3.75 or 2.75, and a washbasin in the bathroom 1 point.

  • Separate floor-standing toilet: 3
  • Shower: 4
  • Washbasin in bathroom: 1
  • Bath: 6

Worked example (fictitious)

A fictitious family home gets a second attic bathroom with shower, washbasin and wall-hung toilet: 4 + 1 + 2.75 = 7.75 points.

If the toilet is placed in a separate room next to the bathroom, it counts 3.75 instead of 2.75: 8.75 points in total.

What this means for you

Bathroom facilities are one of the few categories you can improve with a targeted intervention. Compare the cost with the points and your home’s segment threshold.
